Where the smoke meets the suburbs, London & Essex is where Phoenix 99 was born. It all kicked off here with Danny, Billy and Lee, coppers from different generations, all on the ADHD spectrum. They had a vision: bin the politics, to ride with purpose, cut through the noise, and bring together a crew that genuinely values brotherhood.
This chapter isn’t just the first—it’s the blueprint. Equal parts sarcasm and steel, we ride hard, laugh loud, and don’t forget where we came from. Whether it's rolling through East End backstreets or tearing up Essex lanes, London & Essex leads from the front.

DANNY
Founder / President / Firecracker
AKA PISTOL
Dan began his policing career in May 1995, starting a journey that now spans three decades of frontline service. He worked initially in Hackney as a PC and DC before promotion to Haringey as a Sergeant, later specialising as a Garage Sergeant within Traffic. After transferring to Essex Police as a Response Inspector, he eventually returned to the Metropolitan Police where he serves as a Traffic Inspector overseeing London’s fast road network. An Advanced Driver and trained Police Response Motorcyclist, Dan brings extensive operational leadership experience.
The idea for Phoenix 99 LEMC came from recognising a gap in the UK law-enforcement motorcycle scene. Dan wanted a club rooted in British policing culture while reflecting modern values and inclusivity. His vision ensures Police Staff and Special Constables stand alongside regular officers with equal voice and respect.
Outside the job, his road name “Pistol” reflects his time fronting a covers band, and music remains a passion through karaoke nights. A devoted father of two, he also spends much of his downtime supporting his daughters’ netball. Ride safe always.
BILLY
Founder / Vice President / Treasurer / Social Media Guru
Billy is a Detective Sergeant with years of frontline and investigative experience, known for his tenacity, creativity and straight-talking approach. Living with ADHD, he channels his fast-paced mind into problem-solving, innovation and the occasional bit of chaos that makes things work better. He’s also the social media guru of the team, running the club’s Instagram, Facebook and TikTok accounts to keep the Phoenix 99 spirit alive online. When he’s not leading investigations or creating content, you’ll find him on his BMW K1600GT, chasing open roads and headspace.

LEE
Founder, Quartermaster, Wandering Mind (ADHD) / Problem Solver (No Maths)
AKA BLONDINI
Lee was a Special Constable for 5 years, and a Reserve Soldier for over 27. Working in Response as an SC and both Communications and Infantry work in soldiering, Lee was a Crown Servant for 32 continuous years. Experience in various overseas operations and as a Senior Soldier with a foot in both the Civilian and service world, A balance of formality and a sensible approach is a core skill. Not bad at organising stuff and dealing with short notice challenges, Lee works in Railway so everyday is a challenge. The origin of Blondini/Blondie is derived from both Lee's Name, and that Lee was Blond (when hair was a thing on the top of his head), and would disappear from time to time when something boring needed to be done...
Lee is a BMW fan boy on a third BMW (R1250 GSA TE). A daily Motorcycle commuter and the occasional trip to Europe or UK rallies, the ride is constant and should be savoured at every opportunity... even when it's -5 °C and hossing it down.
