Phoenix 99 LEMC: 1 Year Anniversary Ride Out

One year ago, Phoenix 99 was just an idea shared between three mates. Today, we celebrated our first anniversary the best way we know how... on two wheels. Our ride took us across Essex to East Beach Café in Shoeburyness, before retracing some of the most important moments in our journey. We stopped where Danny, Lee and I had our very first photoshoot, then headed to Battlesbridge, where our first members were officially patched into the club. Today was also another milestone, as we welcomed a new member into the Phoenix 99 family and presented him with his cut. Welcome to the club, Bulley. A special mention has to go to Lee. Although he couldn't make today's ride, he's been part of the backbone of this club since day one, and it didn't feel quite the same without him there. One moment from the day that really stayed with us wasn't about the bikes or the route, it was a conversation with one of our members. He's had a difficult time recently, and hearing him say just how much this club has meant to him, and how it's helping him on his road to recovery, reminded us exactly why Phoenix 99 exists. Yes, we love motorcycles, but the friendships, support and sense of belonging we've built together are what truly make this club special. Knowing that simply riding together, checking in on one another and sharing a few laughs can make a genuine difference to someone's life is something we're incredibly proud of. As for the ride... my new sat nav seemed determined to give everyone the scenic tour of Essex! I got us lost more than once, but there were plenty of laughs along the way, and nobody seemed to mind too much. Thank you to everyone who has supported Phoenix 99 over the last year. Here's to many more miles, memories and friendships ahead.
