Photography & Social Media Policy
Phoenix 99 LEMC regularly captures photographs and video content during rides, events, and official club activities. These images and recordings may be used for legitimate club purposes, including promotion, recruitment, and community engagement, across our official platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and other social media channels.
Consent and Image Use
Upon joining Phoenix 99, members are asked to indicate whether they consent to their image being used in club media and online content. By providing consent, members agree that photographs and videos in which they appear may be shared through official Phoenix 99 channels without the need for individual approval on each occasion.
This approach enables the club to operate efficiently and reduces the need for extensive editing, which supports the smooth running and professional presentation of Phoenix 99.
Privacy and Professional Considerations
We recognise that some members, due to their employment, professional responsibilities, or personal circumstances, may require their identity to be protected. Members who feel they cannot consent to public use of their image must indicate this at the point of registration.
Where a member chooses not to consent:
They will be contacted by the Phoenix 99 Social Media Team.
Their individual circumstances will be discussed confidentially.
Appropriate measures will be agreed to protect their identity, which may include face covering, image blurring, restricted angles, or exclusion from certain media.
Last Resort Principle
Requesting full exclusion from photography or media sharing should be considered a last resort. Phoenix 99 promotes pride, transparency, and community, and positive representation is an important part of our club culture.
Members are encouraged to work with the club to find practical solutions that allow participation in media wherever possible, while still protecting legitimate personal or professional interests.
Member Responsibilities
Members are expected to:
Respect the privacy preferences of others.
Not publish or distribute images of fellow members that conflict with this policy.
Follow guidance issued by the Social Media Team regarding photography at events.
Failure to comply with this policy may result in disciplinary action in line with club procedures.
